Practical But Pretty

I needed something comfy to wear while running around grid and I have been trying not to wear just Ivalde things( everyone that knows me know I adore every item in that store)

While looking for something I remembered about this skirt from Vanitas VestureVanitas and thought - PERFECT!

I own a skirt like this in real life and love wearing it because it is practical but still pretty and always looks good on. Wear with heels, flats or boots and it works.

There is a good range of colours and has beautiful movement when walking. Great for layering as well as mix and match looks.

Trubble Takeover #4 - Kouse's Sanctum - Ryel in Blush

I always get rather excited when I come across a new store and will usually run straight down there to pick up some goodies, and Kouse's Sanctum was no exception.
I heard in a group chat that a place had some cute things in their advent calander, and grabbed the next tp I could to check it out. I didn't find the calandar, but wow did I find some nice things.

The store has a wide range of dresses, mainly in a roleplay costume way, but nearly everything I saw could be worn for anything. The colour options amazed me, with some dresses having 10 or more different options. Guarranteed there is a style and shade for everyone.

I browsed the store for nearly 40 minutes, in awe of the vendors and the quality they promised. But knowing that many designers photoshop their ads, I wasn't sure what I'd find in the box. Then I saw Ryel.

I couldn't pass up this beautiful gown, and although I'm not a "pink" sort of girl, I fell in love with Blush, a soft pink and white colour that just "pops" off the wall. It sells at a bargain price ($L400 if I remember rightly), and found its way into my inventory without a moment of thought.

Unboxing the outfit I was astounded to find that it not only includes the choker, but is exactly the same quality as on the picture. Once I had it on, I couldn't take it off, it made me feel like a fairytale princess. I know what I am wearing this new years eve.

Blogger Challenge - Three Little Things

Samara Barzane challenged all bloggers to pick just three things from their inventory that they could not part with. As soon as I read this I knew right away what my three would be.
SL didn't come easy to me but once I got going I was addicted. I loved the hunt for freebies and lucky chairs to get good stuff while I was finding were I belonged on the grid.I also entered a lot of contests and used the money to buy thing I felt I needed.
While doing this I created what I felt to be the real 'Beulah ' look and that look got me the job a Ivalde were I still work and adore.
I feel protective over this look and find it a comfort blanket when I find things get hard or sad - I always go back to this one hair and skin and my shape has never changed from the day I made it in the first week of being in SL.( it has been tweaked but the over all look is just the same)
So my three things are as follows
1. my own shape
2.Melinda hair from Calico (retired)
3. Nastya 5 skin from July Moon (I tired to find this store again but so for I can't)

Bring In The New Year

The fun to dress up in a stunning gown and go dancing, to hear the bells ring in the new year and know you are with friends and people you love - isn't that what we all want.
Well we might not all get the chance in our real lives but in SL we can.

I got chatting to Sonna on plurk and was so pleased when she asked me to come over and take a look around. She has designed a lot of things I liked her designs so you will see them often on my blog. It is good to find something new and different to show.

This set is called Jugenstil (pink) from AngelPup Design made by Sonna Bazar. I loves the mix of pink and green in this as it help make it feel more organic and not just another pink jewelry set.
Sonna is making a point of asking what folk want made and her store has a mix of all sorts from jewelry to hats. She also makes a lot of unisex stuff.

Trubble Takeover #3 - Magika - Blinky.

If I had to choose just one hair designer I couldn't live without it would definately be Magika. With a huge (and I'm not using that word lightly) selection of styles and such an amazing attention to detail, I never visit the store without buying at least 2.

I dropped in today to have a quick look at the new releases and straight away got taken in by the christmas styles on offer.

My favourite has to be Blinky 2009, an up-do adorned with little fairylights. It's so simple and elegant, I know I'll be able to wear it time and time again with almost any outfit. Plus its in the amazing Christmas Sale!This is just one of hundreds of styles at Magika, so there's guarranteed to be something for everybody.

Trubble Takeover #2 - Huz Tats - xmas

POW! It's takeover time!

Today I'm sneaking down the chimney to bring you a christmas tattoo from Huz Tats.
Hunain Bellic has been kind enough to send me this gorgeous tattoo, and it instantly made me feel wrapped up like a saucy christmas gift.




His store is another one that never fails to astound, with a huge range of tattoos for any occasion and all styles. You'd probably be surprised to know he hasn't even been around that long!

His designs come on plenty of layers, so you can wear them with near enough anything at all and they're all reasonably priced too! Go on over there and don't forget to say hello to Hunain, as he's possibly one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet, in either world.

Trubble Takeover #1 - CS Fandango "Diamond Snowflake"

Psst... don't tell Beulah but I've creeped in through the backdoor to take over her blog. That'll teach her for leaving it open for Santa.

She is possibly one of the most talented people I know. She puts her heart into each and every design and I had a hard time choosing just one to share for this post. But, with the holiday fast approaching this one is perfect.

Introducing - Diamond Snowflake.

This gown is more christmassy than the tree itself. With a full skirt adorned with snowflakes, and its glistening fabric, it is ideal for any christmas ball. But don't think this quality costs the earth. CS Fandango is the one store I know I will get great value from.

Have A MudHoney Winter !

When I got this set I cleared my land - I want a new house to put this in.Let me give you all the details first on this .

It comes in copy or transfer sets. The sofa, bolster, pillows and stool each have menu-driven sits in them. The sofa will seat two people, the pillows seat one person, and the stool seats one. The bolster will seat two people, and there are reading animations included. To get a book to read, click on either one of the poofs on the end of the bolster, and just wear to read.

The candles each turn off and on by touching them, the cabinet, you can open by clicking the doors. You can also click on the book stack to get a book to read.

The picture frames are beautiful and have nice pictures in there already but if you want you can also add in your own to make this more personal.


This shop is a dream to go to. Low prims, low price but so well made - what more could you ask for.

SweetDreams

I had never been to *Dreams* before tonight and I found my visit interesting. The store has all sorts, tails to T shirts. The owner is Sanura Snowpaw, a person I got friendly with in plurk and shes a person I hope to remain in touch with. Looking around you can see she is working hard to add more and more stock to her shop , so its a place to pop in again and again. Space is already made for new stock.
When she dropped these skins on me to review I was honoured - I have only started blogging and to be asked to do something like this just wonderful.

The skin is very different for me as I have never wore one with any kind of print on it before but I found this rather cute. The print is fun without being over powering.
With each skin bought you also get this shape. This skin is made from Eloh Elliot's Starlight skin base and she has been very honest about that- something I respect.
Shown below are a selection of skin tones and makeups, more makeups are now available.
For me its worth buying at least one skin just to get this shape. I know I will use this shape again and that isn't something I have said before of any shape. I have never changed my shape from the beginning of SL when I started and made one.

Go over and take a look around. I know many of you run about in casual so much that a new place for T shirts is always good. Prices are low and its nice to support someone who is working hard and trying to get there brand seen more

Beulah In Trubble

This gown is part of the Peace On Earth hunt and its from Trubble. Why am I showing only this gift ? Well its called Beulah!
I met Tracy Rubble while both of us were part of the hunt last year and we became firm friends in both Rl as well as SL. I seen a great talent yet pretty unknown on fashion feeds. Miranda Fall Gown

DCNY Miranda Fall Gown is simply stunning! With warm colours and flowing skirt for dancing, this gown is a must have.
Soft print of flowers and fruit makes this very girlie, the low back makes it so sexy.
The best about this dress, you can wear it in the summer for walks on the beach as easy as dressing it up to wear to a winter ball and still feel elegant.

Lets Get Cosy

Today it was cold and I curled up on the sofa wearing a pair of comfy trousers and a sweater.
Normally I don't have RL weather effect my SL clothes but today it did.
I grabbed on the DNY Marsha sweater and flared trousers.The detail on DNY is so well done but not over done - if you know what I mean.
They look real , not over drawn or photo shopped. I love days like this and I love wearing clothes like this in any life.

Ugh ! For Men and Women.

I love my Ugh boots from Jeepers Creepers. Not only do they come in a good range of colours but they have 3 leg fitting to suit all shapes , sizes and types of AVs.
Here is a selection of some of the colours - there has been more added from the time I bought my ones.

The good news is you can get these in Fat Packs (something I wish was around last year for me)

Christmas Pets

We have all seen cute pets in SL but I bet not many have seen these. Christmas pets !

The snowman plays peek-a-boo, melts, tips his hat, poses and hops around on command.

The Log Reindeer is more a pet that follows commands like the common dog or cat most have seen in SL. So it will sit, graze, follow etc...

Both of these are made by Pannie Paperdoll and so much fun for this time of year.

More Vanitas Vesture

I had to show you these shirts from SarahTheRed Aurbierre's store.
I am not a big fan of wearing lots of casuals in SL as I wear them so much in RL but sometimes something will catch my eye and I just have to have it.
Like these shirts below - either plain or with a print. Simple lines but as the neck shows - more realistic. What I like more is the attached cuffs on the sleeves, it just adds a nice finishing touch .
Sarah has a real understanding about the needs of causal shirts like this and the need for them to be in layers. Guess that's what happens when a great blogger makes great designs to !

Beguiled Again

This time I want to show you the Deco Blocks from Beguiled. Yes I know I have blogged this store a lot but, Gita makes such cute things at great prices and its nice to get excited over something different.

No I haven't uploaded the same thing twice - take a closer look at the earrings.

She made them in normal and chunky so you get to decide which you would rather wear.

Made in simple black and white, its easy to team this set up with any outfit and any style.

Christmas hangout

Pannie Paperdoll has done it again. She rocks at making seasonal thing.

Look at this bed for example. Well made, great textures and 6 good poses that works on a touch menu.

I sat around for a bit while sorting my note cards - always a crazy job each day so it was a nice relaxed place to sit.
Then a few friends from 'Birds of a Feather' group popped over and we used 4 of the 6 poses to sit and chill.
Might use this for my Sl Christmas card this year once I find a good winter sim to rez it !

Pannie's is a store worth popping over to now and then when you have time - never know what you will find there.

The Vampire Knight Day Class outfit

My name is Merle Myrtle and first of all I wants to thank Beulah to let me be a guest blogger at her One Thing At A Time.

I will try to blog about clothes and styles I love. One of my favourite styles is the Anime style!
This is The Vampire Knight Day Class Girl outfit/male outfit.
The suit is the male version,but it works for women as well.
The skirt set is the female version. Both sets are lovely and each set includes more then just the clothes,you gets the boots as well,really cool boots that will fit many other outfits!
The outfits costs 250L each and its really worth it!!
