Back To Basics

You really cant beat a basic shirt in any life. It can be dressed up or down, all depends on your mood really. Lyla from DYN is my example of a perfect shirt. It can be wore on its own for a sexy look or with a string vest under to make it more causal. Comes in a nice selection of muted colours and nice textures. I played around with this and tried it with a system skirt, vest under and piled the jewelry on, then added glasses. That's the fun of DYN clothes, you can make them look any way you want them to - the only limit is you !

Page 3 Designs

Jag Voom dropped a few things on me around a week ago but I was busy blogging the Fantasy Faire and I only got to look at the folder this morning. I had never heard of the store Page 3 Designs so I had to go over to look around. I don't like blogging a place I haven't been to visit.
I am standing in the store as I type this and all I can think of is WHY HAVE I NEVER HEARD OF THIS PLACE BEFORE. Please forgive the caps but really, why has this store never been heard of much if at all. The build is well put together and everything is easy to see. With furniture, some jewelry, male clothes, pose balls, females clothes and shoes, there is a lot to look at.
So here is a small taste of what the store has to offer....

The Sun Frills Dress comes in 7 colours, 2 of the colours are shown above. Fun and funky comes to mind. Great for summer, easy to dress up with the right jewelry yet casual when wore with flat shoes. It also comes in the all important layers so you can wear tattoos, mash it up or put on a jacket.
I plan to show more things from this store, but until then, why not go over and look around for yourself.

Or jsut be like me and have them all.

Last Chance

This is my last blog post about the Fantasy Faire but it is not the last time you will see designs like this on my blog. I seen a whole new range of designers and styles. The fantasy faire ends today so this is your last chance to get over and look around. Many items are RFL, a worthy cause to support while shopping.
Heidi from SpellBound is a good example of the RFL items on show. The textures on this is so different and makes this gown stand out from the rest. The detail on the cuffs is just one part that shows the creative imagination put into making this. Wear something different when dancing, go on, I dare you !

RFL - Clarissa by SpellBound

SpellBound is new to me, I found it while blogging the Fantasy Faire.

I am standing in the SpellBound booth as I write this, I wanted to look around more and get a feel for the designs. All I can say is WOW. The detail, hand drawn textures, the richness in colour and the fantastic prices. This gown shows the stunning work by Kendall Dagger.Clarissa comes in a range of colours but this one has been put in the RFL vendor so it makes it extra special. I took it to a more goth look but you make it more glam or use it for role play.

I don't know anything about the role play this gown was made for but if this Faire has done anything it has made my want to find out more.

Undine With Me

The Fantasy Faire has inspired me to get out and play more.To use my mind and imagination and embrace what SL has to offer. Could be a something you you to think about to.
Undine from Caverna Obscura made me think. How would I wear this, why would I wear this. So of I went around sims to see how this could work and I had the best fun. I explored underwater sims, met new folk and laughed a lot. Isn't it just amazing how one outfit can do all that.
The design is beautiful, the colours stunning and I just know the staff will come out as a pitch fork to get someone in the future.
I played so much I ran out of time to take pictures but Shangreloo Kuhn and Hawk Morrisey came to my rescue with this texture background in a photo box at their studio - now that is a place I will revisit to.
I feel like begging you not to miss out on the Fantasy faire. Its beautiful, fun and so different from any other event I have been to. It ends this Sunday so you have 2 days.

Almost Proper

The title might seem odd but it is the name of this gown Almost Proper from GutterPup. I found this at the Fantasy Faire and fell in love. It comes in 6 stunning colour, I have 2 of them to show you.
The movement in this gown is just amazing, as you turn every inch of it flows.

The detail on the bodice, arms and skirt really make this stand out. The embroidery on the front and back shows a richness to the design. I know this is for role play mostly but, why not get it as a ball gown to! Wear something different, add your own touch to personalize it. Take of the undershirt to reveal the neckline and put on a stunning necklace. Then when you want to explore just wear it complete and be dressed to suit the sims you are looking around. SL might be fun to hang out and shop in but we can do that in our RL to. Get out and see what else SL has, its so much bigger than shopping malls.

Antigone by Kouse's Sanctum

When I think of Kouse's Sanctum I think of stunning gowns, but they do beautiful jewelry as well.
Antigone is a perfect example. It comes in silver or gold and the stones are colour change. I love colour change jewelry as it works out better value for money and cuts back on an over bulging inventory. I miss 'flirt' jewelry a lot as I knew I would get perfectly crafted items so finding this set has made me very happy. The delicate design is classy and well sized. As the store does a lot of role play things, the design to this is so different from many other main stream stores.
I have shown all the colour change options below. So next time you cry out 'I want something different' why not look around stores known for role play items, they are full is treasures.

Happy St.George's Day

And did those feet in ancient time
Walk upon England’s mountains green:
And was the holy Lamb of God
On England’s pleasant pastures seen!
And did the countenance divine
Shine forth upon our clouded hills?
And was Jerusalem builded here,
Among these dark satanic mills?
Bring me my Bow of burning gold:
Bring me my Arrows of desire:
Bring me my Spear: O clouds unfold!
Bring me my Chariot of fire!
I will not cease from Mental Fight,
Nor shall my Sword sleep in my hand:
Till we have built Jerusalem,
In England’s green & pleasant Land.

Rusalka - Caverna Obscura

More from the Fantasy Faire.....

I had fun wearing this outfit from Caverna Obscura as it made me to exploring and that is something I don't do often. I keep meaning to but then get caught up with other things and the time goes by without going out of my sky box.
Rusalka is beautifully made with a lot of detail. 4 large shells cover all the right bits with smaller shells, seaweed and twigs making up the skirt and necklace. Flowing strips of material are then added to finish of the over all look. It even has fairy dust particles if you want - though this can be turned off.
I was a little naught with this post as I have added in 2 items , not just 1.
The shoes are bought separately but made with the same stuff to match so worth investing in. (the outfit itself does come with sandals).
The colours have not been played with in these pictures, I went to the Serenite sim to take them.

Fit For A Princess - Fantasy Faire

I have had so much fun playing with these TexoChango Button Boots from LUMINOUS DESIGNS. The mix seems never ending with all the changes you can make. I found them at the Fantasy Faire mixed in with the princess gowns and a girl has to have the right footwear when role playing a princess.
With 13 textures, 15 jewels and 8 metals they match almost anything you could wear. At 300L that's works out better than most fat packs I have seen. They are copy so if you make a colour match to something just pop it in the folder and start again .

Celtic Touch

Celtic Trinity Set is from Enchant3D Emporium and available at the Fantasy Faire. You get the necklace, earrings, (shown above) armbands and circlet (not shown)
The Set comes in silver, gold or mixed metals and while perfect for the role play moments it is also spot on for everyday wear, as you can see from the picture.
Had I not been blogging this faire I might not have gone and would have missed out on so many things that are for everyday fashion. I know I keep saying it this faire is something really worth making an effort to get to. The 9 sims are magical and every stall has fantastic designs.

RFL Crocheted Camisk

This sexy little number is from GutterPup and perfect for clubbing. It is made in a range of colours but I wanted to show the teal as it is RFL. It covers all the right bits yet shows a lot of skin. Can also be wore with jeans if you take the pants and skirt of and just use to jacket.

More Than Fantasy

If you think the Fantasy Faire is only for those who role play and dress up then you are so wrong. You will also miss out on a lot of great designs and finding something very different from what is normally shown on main feeds.
LUMINOUS DESIGNS is a new store to me and one I know I will return to. The designs are creative, fresh and different. They do sell role play stuff, but mixed in with that are things like these high waisted pants. I love the gold detail on these with the double buckle belt around the waist. In 10 strong colours and layers they are a great add to any inventory. Dress up for evening wear or more causal with a t shirt, you will not be running around the grid wearing the same as everyone else.

RFL Glimmer by Kouse's Sanctum

I remember the first time I walked into Kouse's Sanctum and stood in awe at the beauty in each design, when I got my first gown from there I went dancing so I could watch the movement. I felt the same way when I walked into the Kouse's Sanctum stand at the Fantasy Faire. It is hard to pick anything because everything is so beautiful. I decided on Glimmer as it was one of the RFL items.

The short length skirt is a sweet everyday look but can be dressed up for cocktail wear. The deep colour with the crystals on the skirt adds to the richness of the over all look.Finished of with a contrasting band around the waist shows attention to detail in creating something very special

The gown has the same detail of crystals around the skirt that shows even more. All the same detail is here but with added movement to the skirt as you dance around any ballroom.
Thought this is from the Fantasy Faire you can wear any place and any time. Its a good buy for those who do not live on the fantasy sims but like to visit to explore.
Maybe you can rediscover this amazing store all over again just as I did.

With loads of things selling for charity and so many designs different from what you will see most days on the fashion feeds , it really is worth going over to visit.
Here is my first offering ...
This sweet fairy outfit is by Boaz Sands of Simply Fae and its part of the RFL outfits at the Fanasty Faire. you get everything with this which makes it a good deal.

Not To Be Missed

The Sim opens soon for everyone to go visit. I have just been around some of it and the place is magical. If you are not into role play don't worry there is still plenty for you to look at and buy. Just do not miss this amazing event with amazing designs for an amazing cause.

I Wish I Was In Dixie....

Dixie from Ivalde is 1930s inspired and flows like a dream. Neferia always dances around in her skybox (and sometimes the store) to make sure all her items move well. Could be a tip for other designers to use. In stylish rich colours, hand drawn textures and perfect fit, this gown is a must have for dancing. Though I do go shopping in gowns often - only in SL can we wear anything we like while shopping.
Something worth watching out for, ALL Ivalde new releases have 50% of for the first 24 hours, that includes the fatpacks to.

Worth Taking a Second Look

Cattiva is a store you will see me blog a lot more of. I had been in it before and never really noticed the beautiful stuff sold there . The reason - old vendor pictures with older skin, hair and poses. It must be hard for store owners to keep their work always looking good and up to date but it is worth it. The detail and design of the clothes in this store is beautiful and worth pointing out to as many as possible - so here is the first of my posts about this store.
Melanie lingerie from Cattiva is just stunning. The set comes in layers and also includes stockings. The embroidery detail adds a richness to the over all look. With such a sexy look it is sure to WOW your partner and make this weekend a little more interesting. The set comes in 10 colours so I have shown the other 9 below.

Something Soft & Why I Didn't Wear Pink

Saffron is a soft cotton top from DYN. Easy to wear and a great range of colours. Nicely styled to show of curves yet perfect for the more casual days.
I was going to post this yesterday but held of so it was not seen to be part of the pink day.
Now before the lynch mob comes after me (again) let me explain. As much as some folk felt it important to take a stand yesterday I didn't, I feel I need to take my stand every day in RL and Sl. I have been bullied in RL and SL.
I read over as many posts as I seen yesterday and most touched my heart as people opened up sharing feeling and past events. I seen stores selling things for this (cashing in or supporting , I'm not sure)I also seen posts from folk who have bullied people I know and even seen a post from a person who bullied me in SL. One blogger decided to take a stand a little different and she had rude comments on her blog because of it.
For me I would rather try to daily learn to respect others in the hope I earn the same respect back. I want to support friends who are being bullied and help strengthen them to cope. Try to reach out to the bullies and see why they do it. Most of all I want to learn that its OK agreeing to disagree on things without fighting.
We all face different things in life and deal with them in different ways - lets respect that.

Sparkle!

When Neferia decided to make separates for her new L`Abel range it was a leap of faith for her. She loves to make full outfits and sets so she had to change her way of thinking and I for one am glad she did.
This Cinzia jacket comes in 2 options (with or with the belt) so really you get 2 jackets for the price of one. It works as well with jeans as it does with dress pants or a skirt of any style or length.
There is a lot more mix and match stuff in the store so you can create your own look for whatever mood you are in.
