The Waiting Is Almost Over

Wannabee

Remember those cute shoes I blogged yesterday ? Well this top is from the same store. I did tell you it was a place worth visiting.Wannabee shirt from Magoa is funky  and fun. Layer it with other things or just wear over jeans. Bright colours  to cheer up those dark winter days. 
Now take a close look at the face of this skin. You will all know this is from Belleza. The main picture is the skin as it was made. The picture below show subtle changes, nothing to strong but enough to change the look of face. Makeup tattoos are the new addiction in SL and there is a new kid coming to town. Well the person isn't new but the store is so watch out for 'NZURI ' for cheap make-up options and more.

Laurel

Laurel is the latest skin from Adam N Eve. She feels like Taylor has grown up (Taylor being the last release) 
As I adored the last skin from  Sachi  I was happy to see this. As I said she is more grown up and has stronger make ups provided for the more 'dressed up'  days.
Important things to point - tattoo layers with brow and pubes colours  so it suits  light, dark and red heads.
It also comes with hair bases and nail polish to suit. These new skins have kept the lighter shading  and I like that alot. The hands  and knees are beautifully done. The body is toned but not over done. You can have the 'push up ' look on the boobs if you want it.  4 skin tones PALE, NATURAL, TAN, BERMUDA (natural is my favourite)
I had been told that this brand doesn't suit  the colouring from main brand hair makers. I wore this with hair from elikatira to show this is wrong information, elikatira is as big now as she was when she was ETD. This brand suits this hair.
Even if you have tried this brand in the past and not liked the skins it is worth going back again - these are different. The shading is lighter, the make up more subtle and the over all look is ,for me, a winner.

Balloons & Bows

I am going to show 2 things in this post even though the blog says I would only do one. While I was looking for a way to show off these shoes I put on this prop from Sways and thought it was cute. Just attach and it sorts itself out. If you want to float around with it (I went shopping)  then just turn your AO off . Sway Dench is one of the most creative people in SL, making poses, furniture, cookie bears, clothes and a load more other stuff.
Now to the shoes. I love flats in RL and SL.  Delicate from Magoa  are super cute. I love the use of contrasting colours. These will work well over the coming Spring and Summer. Magoa is another of  my favourite stores. A place worth visiting if you have never been.

A Reasonable Hunt To Do

Reasonable Desires has a hunt going on right now and it really is worth doing. I have a soft spot for this store, it was the place I bought my first outfit from and the place I bought my first boots from. I hung around the lucky chairs and used the items to enter dance contests at clubs. This was back in the day of fancy dress prizes and camping spots. This store is still as good as it was back then. The whole place has been rebuild and worth visiting just to see it.

See A Melody

Some days I just want to dress as a Princess. There I said it. I have never been a girlie girl, never played with dolls, had tea parties. SL is changing me. 
How can I not change when I put on something this beautiful. Kouse's Sanctum makes gowns that are so dreamy it brings out the princess in me. This gown is called Melody. The detail, texture and design go to make something that is just perfect. The jewelry is also from Kouse's Sanctum and called Antigone . The stones are colour change so this set will suit anything. I love that!.

52 Week Colour Challenge - Week 12 - Taupe

Come here so I can tell you a secret. This top  isn't on sale yet. It will be out on the 29th  in a wide range of colours. I will show you more of them soon. For now I will tease you. 
The top is from the new L`Abel collection  that I hope you all come and see next weekend.  Made to look like that soft, comfy top we all like to slip on over a pair of easy to wear cords (also part of the new collection). I love the lace detail on the sleeve and trimming the bottom.

Stick It Where The Sun Don't Shine

I am not being rude in the title, that is the name of the dress. Made me laugh when I seen it. The dress is from Magoa and is very cute. Beautiful bright colours, short and sexy. What more do you need. I did wear this with jeans when I was running around the grid shopping. Nice to know it works with other stuff.

Loving Laida

I wasn't planning to blog again today but when I seen Neferia had released this cardigan I just had to show you . Named Laida, it has a sculpt attachment  to make it sit more realistic. The texture has a cosy knitted feel to it,great for dull rain days. 4 great colours at only 80L each (or for the first 24 hours 40L each) . Estelle is from Bells Boutique.Its comes in a range of colours but it was this one that caught me eye the most. Simple design, nice detail and easy to wear. Most of use know Bells Semyorka from blogging and now with her stepping in to designing as well I look forward to seeing what else she comes up with.

52 Week Colour Challenge - Week 11 - Indigo

This week was fun, while the colour give was more on the blue side of indigo I kept finding more purple things. I was about to say SOD IT and just post what I had found when I stumbled across this skirt.  This is a must have item. You can get it in a range of colours but the big selling point for me is the colour change belt. You can match this in with just about anything. Once I found this the rest was easy, I knew what to wear with it, so grabbing some of my favourite things I finally got my 'indigo' look completed.

Sexy Times

 Anyone who has ever set eyes on me or spoken  to me at all will know latex is not what I normally wear. So when I got this dropped on me I thought I would try it out of interest. It has been so well made. The shading on this must be hard to get right, to create a sheen but not over shiny. Sachi  has done an amazing job with this, it really feels like the light was hitting the texture. Sexy without flashing to much flesh. Also comes with layers, so tattoos work with it and the option of a catsuit or mini dress style just made this worth the money.

Edelweiss

Edelweiss from PurpleMoon is a show stopper. The gown is amazing on every level. It was made as the national gown for Miss Germany  at Miss Virtual World Final Show. The design has been inspired by a flower in Germany called "Edelweiss". It grows in the winter on the top of the mountains. Many stories tell that if a gentleman offers an edelweiss to a lady it is proof of absolutely true love as it is so hard to find. Isn't that so romantic.  The gown flows with every move, the detail sparkles and the head piece just finishes off what is already a stunning look. 
 It is the first release from PurpleMoon in 2011 and if this is anything to go by we are in for an amazing year !

Find Some Spirit

I kept meaning to go over an take a good look around  Spirit Store but then forgot. The other day I remembered and I am so glad I did. It is rather funky and fun. The stuff  is easy to mix, handy to have in your inventory to personalise  outfits.  Only thing I wasn't so sure about was an attachment on the jeans to make them look like riding breeches.(left this part off) I love the jeans though  so everything in a 'win'.

My 2nd Childhood

52 Week Colour Challenge - Week 10 - Sienna

Is this sienna? I doubt it but I feel comfortable wearing this and today I need to feel comfortable. The sweater is from WOE and called Ginger. It comes in a range of colours, this is it in mud. The Jeans are from the same store, they were a gift but there is bound to be stuff like this for sale. 
The skin is from Mango Mango. I love this wee store. Great skins, cheap prices and best of all an adorable designer.
The hair is something I want everyone to take note off. It is from Exile and called Steph and being sold for charity(100% donated). Comes in a full range of shades, the bow changes colour or can be removed. So what is this charity ? Let me share something from the note card I got of Voshie Paine.


On Tuesday, December 28th, I had to rush to the hospital with my room-mate's daughter.  She had a temperature of 106F.
After a couple hours of waiting, I found out that they would be keeping Kajsa overnight to run more tests.  Her dad arrived,
and I was able to go back home while they kept vigil over Kajsa.  The next day, I waited anxiously to hear news from them, 
and finally when evening rolled around, I decided to give the hospital a call.  It turned out that lil Kajsa had been diagnosed
with Pre-B ALL Leukemia.  


Needless to say the news hit everyone hard, and we have been reeling from shock, but it hit her parents hardest.  Their soon
to be 3 year old, has just been diagnosed with one of those diseases that you dread as a parent.  Not only do they have to stay
strong for Kajsa, and their other daughter, but they also must cope financially somehow.  


Fortunately (the hope we must cling to), the doctors said that since they caught it early, that as long as she responds to treatment,
they are giving Kajsa a 90-95% chance of recovery.  However, the treatment will last approximately 4 years, where Kajsa will have to 
undergo intensive chemo treatments. In an effort to do -something- for the family, I asked and gained permission to seek out ways to 
raise money to help them, while they concentrate on Kajsa.


So there you go, you can do something wonderful buy just nipping over, shopping or donating.
